Equipment Accessibility

“People operate and maintain processes by interacting with process equipment. Process equipment includes displays, alarms, controls, computers, manual equipment anda wide range of plant hardware. Human factors issues for process equipment relate to how people interact with and use equipment. The characteristics of the equipment may increase the likelihood of human failures when it is used by people. Fundamental human factors design principles can be defined for equipment and include accessibility which must be easy.”
